Location
Position based principally in Louvain-la-Neuve with trips in the Walloon Brabant region (and occasionally to Brussels). Remote work: up to 2 days per week.
Working conditions
Full-time permanent contract. Occasional evening work and Saturday morning work when new course sessions start (+/- 8 times academic year).

Your main mission is to ensure that language courses delivered to the three target audiences (adults, kids and teens) in the CLL Centre in Louvain-la-Neuve, in schools in the Walloon Brabant and online are delivered with the utmost quality.

As a Pedagogical Quality Advisor (M/F/X), you will play a key role within our language school. You will be the first point of contact for our trainers, and your mission will be to advise and guide them in their language teaching practices to ensure high-quality instruction and learner satisfaction.

- Participating in the recruitment process of new language trainers.
- Conducting class visits (followed by feedback) and coaching teachers on the field.
- Giving group and individual onboarding sessions to new trainers by differentiating between the pedagogical aspects of adult courses and kids & teens courses.
- Training and coaching the trainers on all new courses and levels: briefings, class visits, feedback sessions, follow-up and in the domain of new technologies.
- Creating and/or participating in the creation of online and offline pedagogical materials (syllabi, work sheets, flashcards, etc.) including material for the after-school programs (“parascolaire” courses).
- Conducting pedagogical quality assurance actions to ensure that all materials and course contents are compliant with the CLL Standards and learner’s expectations.
- Overviewing the planning for each session and advising on learners’ level to form groups.
- Supervising language camps (All Saints’, Carnival, Easter, Summer).
- Monitoring and logging complaints and acting as the SPOC towards parents (Kids & Teens courses) to facilitate the communication and resolve potential issues.
- Managing the trainer’s intranet platform.
- Communicating with trainers - you ensure daily support on both content related and technical matters.
- Delivering language trainings (all publics and levels) when the planning requires it (replacements, …).
- Keeping abreast of the latest teaching practices and exchanging ideas with trainers and colleagues.
- Participating in all Quality Advisor meetings.
Your profile
- You have a degree in the field of languages and/or education (additional training in digital education is a plus)
- You have a C2 level in English or Dutch and a B2 level in French.
- You have at least 5 years professional experience teaching a foreign language to various audiences and age groups, both face-to-face and online.
- You have a first experience in a pedagogical coordination role (performing QA actions, teacher training,…).
- You are more than familiar with digital tools and new technologies, have very good knowledge of multimedia language teaching and resources, and know how they can be used in the classroom.
- You are organised and able to manage all pedagogical and administrative tasks within the framework given.
- You are autonomous, enjoy challenges and have excellent people skills.
- Flexible and open to new ideas, you are able to assist in strategic planning and assure the operational implementation of all projects.
- You demonstrate a constant interest in new language teaching methods.
- You are creative, dynamic and eager to learn and love working in a team where you have specific responsibilities.
- You are results-oriented and put everything in place to achieve your goals.
- You have a driver's license B and are willing to travel regularly within Belgium.
